What is DPTT?
DPTT (Diphenylthiourea) is a reliable secondary accelerator used in the vulcanization of various rubber compounds. It provides controlled curing and enhanced processing safety, contributing to consistent rubber performance and quality. DPTT is commonly employed in natural and synthetic rubbers, offering stability and predictable vulcanization behavior.
Properties:
DPTT has no odor and a specific gravity of 1.53–1.56. It is soluble in benzene, acetone, and chloroform, but insoluble in water.
Applications:
DPTT is used as a secondary accelerator in natural rubber (NR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), EPDM, and nitrile rubber (NBR). It helps achieve controlled curing and improved processing stability when combined with primary accelerators.
Packaging:
DPTT is supplied in 25 kg bags.
Storage:
The product should be stored in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. When kept under normal conditions, the recommended maximum shelf life is 1 year.
